The time when India refused to give visa to Canadians

This is something that nobody would have seen coming. You must have heard Indians trying very hard to get visa for Canada, be it for study or job or permanent residency, but it was never thought of that there will be no visa for Canadians to enter India. Well, if you mess with someone you highly depend on, it will have an effect. This has been effective starting 21st September 2023 and was in effect for quite a long time, long enough to have an impact.

Justin Trudeau has been one of the most favorite Canadian PM of all time for all that he has done for immigration and immigrants, but nobody saw this coming, the statement from the man himself blaming India for the killing of one of the people involved in Khalistani movement. The movement that will do no good for anybody but something like this will do something for Canada in short and long term. Was Justin made to say this? Could he have avoided this? We may never find it out, but he will definitely be required to make it up to this to bring the India-Canada relation back to what it was. All peace and no fight.

If you say you think someone did something without evidence, you sure are willingly getting into negative relation with the person (or country) you are blaming and there is no going back. India can never trust Canadian government the same way. Canadian government did not have to declare that we will investigate but we think India did it, unless it was intended to create this chaos.

The speed with which India is growing, it is hard to imagine any country who might not need India for one or other reason. Especially the developed countries like USA and Canada. The consequences of the statement from Canadian PM are apparent, Canadians could not enter India because visa services were stopped at the moment.

The innocent businesses will suffer and innocent tourist who had planned a trip to India for years will cancel it. The students and aspirants who wanted to go to Canada are now skeptical about their future.

This change does not affect Indians with dual citizenship. They can come and go as they please. And for the rest, get smart, get your dual citizenship as soon as you can because you never know what might happen next.
