We have a great news for gamers. Google has announced Google Play Games for PC where users will now be able to play games on PC which they earlier used to play only on mobile or tablet. If you have not downloaded it already, go ahead and do that to experience the games you used to play on cell phone to your personal computer on a big screen and a more friendly controllers that is your keyboard.
The release is at a very early stage so Google will monitor it, ask for feedback and improve it to the level that it becomes a leading platform for PC gamers who used to rely on direct downloads or Xbox. This is something that we have been wanting since the beginning. How much of Android can come to PC? Let’s face it, mobile phones are great but even with their ‘large’ screens, they are small and cannot do many of the things that a full-fledged computer can do. The only reason is size, of course. Businesses and marketers can sell you anything. Sometimes they say small is great because it’s portable and moves easy and sometimes they say big is better, because it’s big and better. As a purchaser, a smart consumer, you don’t need to listen to any of their non-sense and just listen to, well, yourself. As yourself, is it really as good as they say or am I the kind of person who would be comfortable with that?
The common answers to a question of user experience are basically from the perspective of agronomics and common psychology. Human size will not change any soon. Your height, your fingers, your posture and everything else will not change for your device, your device will need to be designed in such a way that your body can easily use it. Why are we talking about this topic while talking about Google play games on PC? It’s for the same reason. Games are better played on PC than a mobile phone. It’s true with only a few exceptions because some games are built for small screen and touch controls but most of the games require large screen, clicky keys that tell you the click happened. It’s better because you can relax your arm on the desk and see things in more details.
Games need to be lived, not just played. The game designers create such beautiful worlds for gamers to live in so gamers should be given a platform that can allow them to do just that. A good screen size, keyboard controls and great sound will bring an amazing experience to the players.
